VOC Abatement Systems

The VOC Abatement Systems are our most complete solutions for VOC control. They cover collection, pre-treatment, deep purification, and final discharge. Unlike single units, our VOC Abatement Systems are complete engineering packages. We can handle low to high concentrations and large to small airflows. We combine activated carbon, wet scrubbing, catalytic combustion, and UV oxidation. The choice depends on your gas composition, concentration, and emission targets. Our design follows three principles. First, reduce at the source with low-VOC materials. Second, control the process with efficient collection. Third, treat the end of pipe with the most economical process.

For a bicycle plant in Tianjin, we supplied a VOC Abatement System for their paint shop. The VOC concentration varied from 400 to 1,200mg/m³. The airflow was 180,000 m³/h. Our solution used a zeolite rotor concentrator plus catalytic combustion. The rotor concentrated the large airflow into a small high-concentration stream. The catalytic combustor then treated the concentrated stream. After startup, the outlet VOC dropped to below 22mg/m³. The reduction rate exceeded 97%. The concentration ratio reached 15 times. The catalytic combustor needed almost no external heat. This greatly reduced energy consumption. The customer estimated an annual saving of 180,000 kWh. The payback period was about 2 years.

Our VOC Abatement Systems use PLC automatic control. Online monitors show inlet and outlet concentrations in real-time. Data can be sent to the central control room.
