Woodworking Dust Collection Systems

The Woodworking Dust Collection Systems are different from standard dust collectors. The main difference is safety. Woodworking shops produce sawdust, wood chips, and fine wood powder. Fine wood powder below 100 microns is highly explosive. When the concentration reaches the lower explosive limit, a single static spark can cause a disaster. Our product put explosion safety first. We include anti-static filter bags, explosion vents, and flame arresters as standard. The fan and motor are explosion-proof. The entire system has reliable grounding. This ensures static electricity is safely discharged.

We use anti-static polyester felt for the filter bags in our Woodworking Dust Collection Systems. Conductive fibers are woven into the fabric. The surface resistance stays below 10⁶Ω. This ensures static electricity from dust friction is released quickly. The explosion vents are on top of the unit. If internal pressure rises suddenly, the vents open to release pressure. This prevents the equipment from bursting. For a large furniture factory in Shandong, we provided a central system covering 46 machines. This included edge banders, sanders, and drilling machines. The total airflow was 92,000 m³/h. After startup, the workshop dust concentration dropped from 58mg/m³ to 3.2mg/m³. The system has run for over a year without any safety incidents.

Our Woodworking Dust Collection Systems are customized based on your workshop. We first survey all dust-producing machines. We note their power, dust outlet size, and required airflow. We then calculate the total system airflow and branch duct sizes. The main duct routes follow the walls or under beams. This keeps the path clear for cranes and forklifts. For fine dust from sanders, we increase the branch airflow and filter area. The cleaning pressure and timing are adjusted for the sticky nature of wood dust. We can add a briquetting machine to compress collected wood powder. This reduces storage volume by 3 to 5 times. It also makes disposal or sale to biomass fuel plants easier.
