Product Overview
Acid fume scrubber system is a complete acid fume waste gas treatment device, composed of suction hood, duct, scrubber, circulating pump, fan, and exhaust stack. The system sets suction hoods above acid pickling tanks, electroplating tanks, and other acid fume generating equipment, and introduces acid fume through ducts into the scrubber. In the tower, acid fume contacts alkali in counter-current flow and is neutralized and absorbed; clean gas passes through mist elimination and is discharged by the fan.

Selection & Comparison Notes
• System integrated design: hood to exhaust stack matched as a whole. Hood designed to pickling tank size and acid fume generation; duct velocity and diameter calculated to total air volume; scrubber and fan selected to system resistance.
• Multi-stage spray improves purification efficiency. Scrubber can be fitted with multi-layer packing and spray layers; acid fume passes through packing layers and contacts alkali step by step.
• Empty tower gas velocity controlled at 2.4–2.7 m/s; liquid-gas ratio designed at 1.3–3 L/m³ to ensure sufficient neutralization reaction.
• PP duct and tower are corrosion-resistant to acid gas and alkali. Duct uses flange connection for on-site installation and later maintenance.
• Circulating water system reduces alkali consumption. Alkali in the bottom circulating water tank is repeatedly sprayed by the circulating pump; pH automatic dosing system replenishes alkali according to circulating liquid pH.

Quality Control
Hood and duct connections are checked for sealing. Scrubber weld seams are checked for sealing. Circulating pump and fan are test-run one by one with current and air volume recorded. 100% system powered test run before packing, confirming spray, circulation, and exhaust action. Third-party inspection accepted. The factory has supplied this system to electroplating, pickling, and surface treatment workshops, and uses this field data to set liquid-gas ratio and exhaust stack height.
FAQ
Q: How to determine total system air volume?
A: Calculate by pickling tank liquid surface area and acid fume generation intensity. Generally estimated by tank surface velocity 0.3–0.5 m/s, multiplied by tank surface area. If multiple pickling tanks share one system, total air volume is the sum of each tank air volume with a simultaneous use factor.
Q: Is there a requirement for exhaust stack height?
A: Exhaust stack height must meet local environmental emission standards, usually determined by surrounding building height and emission concentration. Confirm local regulations during design.
